Prior to vision therapy, Janey was having difficulty with reading. Now Janey is reading for enjoyment and her fluency has improved. Her reading confidence is better and she does not have to work so hard to keep her place while reading.
Freddy was having trouble reading, and his reading tutor suggested we have his tracking evaluated. After vision therapy, his reading has improved and he is more willing to read- he doesn't avoid it. HIs drawing has also improved- his lines and shapes are more aligned, and he enjoys drawing more. I want others to know that vision therapy can make a huge difference for struggling readers!
Ben was having difficulty with reading and handwriting at school. His occupational therapist suggested a vision therapy evaluation. After vision therapy, Ben’s reading has improved, he doesn’t lose his place, he isn't reversing letters, spelling is easier, and his sports performance has improved! My advice to others is that vision therapy can greatly improve academics if your child is struggling!
Jame’s eye doctor noticed he had an eye tracking problem and referred us here for treatment. After vision therapy, James is reading higher level chapter books - he previously would gravitate to graphic novels. His ADHD symptoms are not gone, but we have definitely seen an improvement in his attention and behavior at school. My advice to others is that vision therapy is worth trying if your child is avoiding reading, or struggling with attention.
Frank’s left eye was turning in, especially when he was tired. After a few months of therapy, his eyes are straight all the time. My advice to others is that vision therapy is definitely worth trying! We’ve seen great improvement!
Kian had a lazy eye and had problems using both eyes together. After getting glasses, our eye doctor referred him for vision therapy. Kian’s vision has gotten substantially better through the professional guidance of Dr. Sorenson. His visual acuity has improved by several lines, and his eyes are coordinating better. Vision therapy has been a very appreciated service for Kian’s vision problem and we were happy to be able to make so much improvement early in his life.
Dylan was struggling with reading and his school thought vision therapy could be helpful. After vision therapy his spatial awareness has improved, his reversals have decreased, and his tracking has improved. His handwriting has improved- especially the spacing, and he is having an easier time sounding out words. Dr. Sorenson also taught us techniques to make learning more successful. The vision therapy was very engaging and a positive experience for my son!
Veronica was getting daily headaches at school and having trouble reading. Her eye doctor asked the right questions during her annual eye exam, thought a vision problem was contributing, and referred her for a vision therapy evaluation. After completing the therapy program, my child stopped complaining about headaches and she is enjoying reading more. Her confidence in school has grown, she reads for fun now, and she feels proud of herself. I am so relieved we found help for all her uncomfortable symptoms.
